Jobs in Szczecin: welding, warehouses and production
Szczecin is a port city an hour from Berlin, and its job market leans towards metalwork. Welders get some of the best rates in Poland here: MIG 135 at 40–50 zł an hour, MAG on X-ray and ultrasound-tested steel structures at 42–46 zł. Switchgear enclosure fitters are offered 5,600–6,100 zł a month. See welder jobs.
Without a trade, there are warehouses and production: a clothing warehouse in Gardno on an employment contract, online-shop order processing, a three-shift warehouse 15 km from the city and rubber products in Pyrzyce. Rates are 24–33 zł net per hour. UDT forklift operators earn 30–34 zł, and one warehouse pays for the UDT course — forklift jobs in Szczecin.
Almost every job comes with accommodation, and there are plenty of student roles paying up to 37 zł. Beginners: Szczecin without experience. Being close to Germany is handy if some of your family lives there.
Jobs in Poland with accommodation: what “housing provided” really means
A job ad that says “with accommodation” is almost never offering a free flat. In most cases you get a bed in a workers’ hostel or a shared apartment arranged by the employer or agency, and the rent is taken out of your pay. Across the jobs listed on Jobework, housing usually costs 350–550 zł a month. We put the price in each listing so you can work out your take-home pay before you travel.
The real benefit is speed. You don’t have to hunt for a room in a city you don’t know, sign a lease or pay a deposit: you arrive, move in and start your first shift the next day.
