Jobs in Łódź: warehouses, factories and forklifts
Łódź sits right in the middle of Poland, where the A1 and A2 motorways cross. For the job market that means one thing: the city is surrounded by dozens of warehouses and plants that need a lot of people. There are hardly any construction jobs here, but warehouse and production work comes in every shape.
Warehouses in Łódź and Stryków
Stryków, 20 km from Łódź, is a logistics town of its own: branded-clothing warehouses, parcel sorting and all-women packing teams. In Łódź itself there are pharmaceutical and children’s clothing warehouses and table-based packing of clothes and accessories. Rates are 25–34 zł net per hour, and one warehouse offers an employment contract with a choice of day-only or night-only shifts. See warehouse jobs in Łódź.
Forklift drivers: the city’s top job
Łódź has more UDT forklift operator jobs on the site than any other city: cold storage (34–37 zł net), home-appliance plants and a furniture warehouse in Głowno. Students under 26 are offered up to 38.50 zł an hour.
Production
Plastic parts for cars and appliances, sweets packing, quality control and appliance assembly. Plants often run three shifts and offer a free bus and hot lunches.
Who Łódź suits
- Women — lots of packing, clothing warehouses and light table work.
- Older workers — a good share of jobs accept people up to 55.
- Students — separate, higher rates in warehouses and on forklifts.
- No experience or Polish — Łódź without experience, Łódź without Polish.
Almost every job includes housing, some of it free: Łódź jobs with accommodation. Łódź is also cheaper than Warsaw or Wrocław, so the same rate goes further here.
