Umowa o pracę salary calculator
Type in the gross salary from your contract and the umowa o pracę calculator will show what lands in your account — and where the rest goes.
Why gross and net are so far apart
Polish contracts almost always state gross pay. Three things come off it: social contributions to ZUS (pension, disability and sickness — 13.71% in total), health insurance (9% of what is left after ZUS) and income tax (PIT). That is why the 2026 minimum wage of PLN 4,806 gross turns into roughly PLN 3,606 in hand.
What changes the result
- Being under 26. The youth relief means no income tax up to PLN 85,528 a year. ZUS and health insurance are still deducted.
- PIT-2 form. Hand it to your employer and your monthly tax drops by PLN 300. Without it, you only get that money back after the annual tax return.
- Commuting from another town. Your deductible costs rise from PLN 250 to PLN 300, so the tax is a little lower.
What you cost your employer
On top of your gross pay the company adds its own contributions — about 20%. The calculator shows this as a separate line, which helps explain why a net hourly rate in a job ad may look modest.
