Jobs in Gdańsk: shipyard, port, warehouses and production

Gdańsk combines shipbuilding, a busy port and ordinary warehouse logistics, so pay varies a lot: from 23 zł an hour assembling windows to 65 zł for a hull fitter at the shipyard.

For skilled workers

Hull fitters (50–65 zł an hour), yacht painters (30–42 zł), concrete and reinforced-concrete workers (35–40 zł net with housing and transport) and formwork carpenters. The port and building sites need UDT forklift operators, including telehandler drivers.

Unskilled jobs

Coffee, perfume and food warehouses (the food warehouse pays piece rates up to 38.89 zł net and doesn’t require Polish), bicycle production, window assembly in Rusocin, machine work at a cosmetics plant in Kolbudy, poultry processing in Dzierżążno and hotel housekeeping from 4,500 zł net. Rates here are 23–33 zł net per hour.

Most jobs include housing for about 400 zł a month: Gdańsk with accommodation. Beginners can start with Gdańsk without experience. Neighbouring Gdynia also has a shipyard and plants — jobs in Gdynia.
