Painter jobs in Poland: shipyards, plants and paint shops
If you picture a painter with a roller in someone’s flat, the jobs on this site will surprise you. Most current openings are industrial: coating steel structures at the shipyards in Gdynia and Gdańsk, painting railway wagons in Bydgoszcz, or working in factory paint shops in Lublin. The main tool is a spray gun, not a brush.
What employers usually ask for
- Spray painting experience, or at least the basics — shipyards often run a short practical test.
- Working in a respirator and protective suit: the gear is provided, but you need to manage a full shift in it.
- A medical clearance for work at height, needed for scaffolding and ship hulls.
There are also painter’s helper roles with no experience required, on-site training and a lower starting rate.
Pay
Listings on the site pay roughly 27–33 zł net per hour, more at shipyards for qualified staff. Industrial sites also tend to give steadier hours than flat renovations: 10–12-hour shifts and little downtime because of weather.
Most of these jobs include housing — see jobs with accommodation. Related trades are on the construction page, and industrial roles on the factory page.
