Sanitary Ceramics Plant Worker, Krasnystaw: PLN 23.90–29.60 Net, Housing PLN 450

A sanitaryware plant in Krasnystaw, 100 km from Lublin, makes washbasins and toilets. They take men, women and couples up to 60. The jobs in the workshops differ, and some of them are not given to women, which is better to know in advance.

Pay in the advert is given as a range, PLN 23.90–29.60 net per hour, and housing costs PLN 450 a month. The working day is 8 to 12 hours.

Main duties

• casting shop (women and men): set the moulds for washbasins or toilets (usually in two parts) correctly, which the machine fills with liquid clay, and switch the machines on and off; when the mass in the moulds hardens, a man takes the product out and puts it on a special table (women do not lift this);
• kiln area (men): you do not work beside the kiln; check unfired items for defects and move them from one line to another that sends raw items to the kiln department;
• glazing department (men): deliver toilets to the enamel racks on a trolley; women polish finished parts by hand with a special cloth, pour enamel into the toilets and start the machine that rotates the toilet and spreads the enamel evenly;
• picking and sorting (men): work with a scanner, take already checked products from the belt, scan and sort by name (washbasins with washbasins, toilets with toilets), stack on pallets, label.

You will have to lift 20–25 kg; some items weigh up to 35 kg, and there is a manipulator for them.

Pay

• PLN 23.90–29.60 net per hour;
• from PLN 4,500 to 6,000 net a month.

Work schedule

• 8–12 hours a day.
