Bricklayer jobs in Poland: blocks, brick and housing projects
Polish housing is built mostly with masonry, so bricklayers are in demand all year. Most openings on the site are on housing estates and terraced houses (szeregowce) in the suburbs of Wrocław and Warsaw.
What you’ll be working with
Mostly aerated concrete and sand-lime blocks laid with adhesive, less often traditional brick and mortar. Experienced bricklayers set out corners and openings using a level and laser; helpers mix mortar, carry blocks and put up scaffolding. Stone and facing-brick specialists are hired separately for facades, clinker and stone.
Pay
Listings offer 29–35 zł net per hour for experienced bricklayers, and up to 50 zł gross on some sites. Helpers with no experience get 4,300–5,900 zł net a month. Some firms pay piece rates per square metre of wall, so earnings depend on your pace — get those terms in writing before you start.
What to prepare
- Photos of your previous work on your phone — for a tradesperson that’s the best CV.
- Steel-toe work boots, if the company doesn’t supply them.
- Questions about the contract: employment contract or civil contract, and who pays for housing and transport.
More jobs like this are on the construction page. Nearly all bricklayer offers come with accommodation, and there’s a no-experience filter for helpers.
