UDT Forklift Operator, Sokołów near Warsaw: Cross-Dock, PLN 39

A logistics centre in Sokołów that receives, sorts and forwards household appliances, electronics and everyday goods. It is a cross-dock, so cargo does not sit for long — it arrives, gets sorted and leaves again. Warsaw is 16 km away, Pruszków 7 km.

They are looking for front forklift operators with a UDT licence, and the job is permanent. Students are paid more than everyone else, and people planning to stay in Poland can count on help with the residence card.

Main duties

• drive a front-loading forklift;
• work with a warehouse scanner;
• load and unload trucks at the cross-dock warehouse;
• quickly sort arriving goods for onward shipping.

Pay

• PLN 39 gross per hour, which comes to PLN 29.95 net;
• the net figure already includes the PIT-2 allowance — PLN 300 for 168 hours worked a month;
• it is a fixed sum, so with overtime it gets spread over all your hours and the average rate dips a little;
• students get PLN 42 an hour with no PIT tax.

Salary is paid monthly to your bank account.

Work schedule

• five days a week;
• three 8-hour shifts: 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00 and 22:00–06:00.

Candidate requirements

• men, women and couples up to 55;
• a UDT (IWJO) licence;
• conversational Polish;
• Ukrainian citizenship.

Employment

Employment under an umowa zlecenie.

• an in-person meeting at the warehouse is required before you are hired;
• the company helps with the residence card application;
• medical check-up;
• health and safety training (BHP).

Housing

Housing can be arranged: roughly PLN 500 a month, deducted from your pay. Check the details and the address before you travel.

Transport

You make your own way to and from work. The warehouse is close to Pruszków, so it is easy to reach from Warsaw or Pruszków.
