Picker at a Supermarket Warehouse, Lubin: PLN 31.50–34.60 Net, Voice Picking, up to PLN 9,000

A supermarket chain warehouse in Lubin. They take both men and women ready for physical work and a shift schedule. You will pick by voice commands, so you are advised to learn a small dictionary of Polish phrases before you start.

The rate here depends on the norm: for the first two months it is fixed, then it depends on productivity, and cold chambers pay more. By exceeding the norm earnings can reach PLN 9,000 gross a month.

Main duties

• pick goods on pallets (up to 180 cm high);
• work with voice commands;
• use a low-level forklift;
• sort goods by weight.

Temperature zones: 0°C — meat, +8°C — dairy, +12°C — vegetables, +18–20°C — dry warehouse.

Pay

• during training (the first 2 months) — PLN 31.50 net per hour;
• after two months at 100% productivity — PLN 34.00 net per hour;
• in cold chambers (−18°C) — PLN 34.60 net per hour;
• when the norm is exceeded the rate rises; the advert says 93–95% of workers reach 100% efficiency.

When the norm is exceeded, earnings are up to PLN 9,000 gross a month. Pay is made by the 15th of the following month, with an advance of PLN 400 after 10 days.

Work schedule

• 180–220 hours a month;
• shifts: 06:00–14:00, 07:00–19:00, 14:00–22:00, 19:00–07:00, 22:00–06:00;
• Monday to Friday, sometimes Saturday and Sunday;
• overtime is possible (+4 hours);
• a 30-minute break (15 minutes paid).

Candidate requirements

• readiness for physical work and a shift schedule;
• willingness to learn Polish phrases for voice commands.

Employment

An umowa zlecenie — with health insurance only.

• deducted from pay: a sanitary check PLN 200, clothing PLN 150 (plus PLN 250 if you do not work 3 months), a forklift certificate PLN 200 (kept if you do not work 3 months).

Housing

Rooms next to the warehouse. The first 2 months cost PLN 400 a month, from the third month PLN 800. If you live in your own housing you get +PLN 2 per hour at 100% efficiency.

Transport

The advert does not mention separate travel: the housing is next to the warehouse.
