Seamstress for Seat Upholstery, Szczecinek: PLN 25 Net, Students 30.50, Free Transport

In Szczecinek, about 80 km from Koszalin, they sew covers and upholstery for seats, backs and armrests. The work is seated, on sewing machines, as part of a production line.

Sewing experience is compulsory. They take students under 26 too at a higher rate, and those who live in their own housing are encouraged with a supplement.

Main duties

• sew covers and upholstery (seats, backs, armrests);
• work with fabric, leather and leatherette;
• mark out, cut and prepare parts, cut patterns and label;
• stitch by templates and samples;
• check the quality of seams, tension and sizes, and fix small defects;
• work on sewing machines: change threads and needles and adjust them;
• follow safety and cleanliness rules;
• work as part of a production line.

Pay

• PLN 25 net per hour — the standard rate (under Polski Ład rules);
• PLN 30.50 net per hour — students under 26;
• +PLN 1 per hour for those who live in their own housing.

Pay is made between the 15th and 18th for the previous month into your bank account.

Work schedule

• 8–10 hours a day;
• first shift: 06:00–15:00;
• second shift: 15:00–23:00.

Candidate requirements

• sewing-machine experience is compulsory.

Employment

Employment under an umowa zlecenie.

• work clothes are provided but are paid for: the cost is deducted from your pay.

Housing

Housing costs PLN 18 a day (deducted from your pay). Pillows and duvets are provided, but you need your own bed linen. If you live in your own housing you get +PLN 1 per hour.

Transport

Free transport to work is provided.
