Road Maintenance Worker, Białystok: Mowing and Helping with Asphalt

Work on the streets and roads of Białystok. In summer you mostly mow grass; the rest of the year you help the road crews, from laying asphalt to putting up barriers. Outdoor, physical work with no special qualifications required.

Main duties

• mowing grass along roads and on lawns;
• helping when asphalt is laid;
• washing noise barriers, putting up safety nets and barriers;
• cleaning areas around buildings and bin enclosures;
• removing rubbish, sweeping paths, looking after lawns.

Pay

• PLN 30 net per hour;
• younger workers up to PLN 32 net per hour.

That comes to PLN 7,000–8,900 a month. Salary is paid monthly to your bank account.

Work schedule

• full working week;
• hours depend on the season and workload.

Candidate requirements

• men;
• no experience needed;
• readiness to work outdoors in any weather;
• good physical condition.

Employment

Employment under an umowa zlecenie.

• medical check-up;
• health and safety training (BHP);
• high-visibility vest and protective gear for roadside work.

Housing

Housing is provided by the employer: PLN 550 a month, deducted from your pay.
