Job description:
Stalowa Wola, 80 km from Rzeszów: a modern workshop at one of Poland’s biggest door manufacturers. They take men, and experience is not required if you are ready to learn.
The work is on your feet and cyclical: a part onto the machine, a part off it, several times an hour. But for the first one to three months a mentor works with you, and the hourly rate goes up from the fourth month.
Main duties
- operate edge-banding machines;
- feed parts onto the machine and take them off;
- check the quality of finished products;
- keep the equipment in working order and watch its technical condition;
- help with changeovers of the production lines;
- fill in production paperwork.
Pay
- PLN 26 net per hour — first three months;
- PLN 28 net per hour — from the fourth month;
- PLN 31.40 net per hour — for those under 26 with student status;
- +PLN 1 per hour if you live in your own housing.
The advert gives rates as net, under the Polski Ład rules. Pay is transferred to your bank account between the 15th and 18th for the previous month worked.
Work schedule
- three 8-hour shifts, five days a week;
- shift I: 06:00 to 14:00; shift II: 14:00 to 22:00; shift III: 22:00 to 06:00;
- Saturday work is possible if the plant needs it; Sunday is a day off;
- a 15-minute break;
- extra hours appear after training, once you are ready to work independently.
Candidate requirements
- at least conversational Polish;
- experience in production or with equipment is an advantage, but you can start without it if you want to learn;
- responsibility, discipline and readiness for shift work;
- interest in developing and staying long term.
Employment
Employment under an umowa zlecenie.
- training lasts one to three months depending on your ability, and an experienced mentor stays with you throughout;
- work clothing is paid for, the price depends on the purchase price; the plant provides safety glasses, ear defenders, masks or respirators and gloves.
Housing
Housing costs PLN 18 a day, about PLN 540 a month. Bring your own bedding: duvets and pillows are provided. If you live in your own housing you get +PLN 1 per hour.
Transport
The advert says nothing about getting to work, so ask how to travel from the housing or hostel.
Additional
- conditions in the workshop: a modern production hall, temperature not below +18°C;
- the work uses glues, lacquers, facing materials and hardeners;
- you work standing, and parts have to be carried from time to time: from a few kilograms upwards;
- you must meet output norms for quantity and quality;
- there is a canteen and a kitchen with a microwave, drinking water and drinks machines;
- you can keep water at your workstation;
- there are dedicated smoking areas.
