Cosmetics and Perfume Packing, Lublin (Felin): Employment Contract, Free Housing

Perfumes, creams and gift sets — light goods handled in a clean, bright and warm building. The distribution centre of a large cosmetics retail chain in Lublin’s Felin district is a class A warehouse with a modern staff lounge, and there is no heavy physical work.

The big plus is a full employment contract: insurance, paid leave, paid sick leave and pay twice a month. Housing is free — you only pay utilities. Places are limited.

Main duties

• sorting perfumes by brand and fragrance;
• wrapping bottles in protective bubble wrap;
• assembling holiday cosmetics sets;
• applying translated labels and barcodes (stickering);
• checking goods against the order with a scanner terminal.

Pay

• PLN 32.5 take-home per hour;
• PLN 5,200 net for 160 hours a month (about €1,235);
• overtime: +50% on the hourly rate;
• weekends and public holidays: +100%;
• attendance bonus PLN 400–600 a month.

Pay arrives on your card twice a month — advance and main part, without delays.

Work schedule

• five days, Monday to Friday; Saturday optional;
• two 8-hour shifts: 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00;
• optionally 2–4 extra hours per shift;
• 15 minutes of paid break every 4 hours plus 30 minutes for lunch.

Candidate requirements

• care: the goods are fragile and expensive;
• attention to detail — labels, barcodes, matching the order.

Employment

Employment under an umowa o pracę (employment contract) with paid leave and sick pay.

• full health insurance and pension contributions (ZUS);
• paid leave — the employer states 26 days a year; unused days can be paid out;
• sick leave (L4) paid at 80–100%;
• help with documents and with the residence card for those planning to stay long-term;
• medical check-up;
• health and safety training (BHP).

Housing

Housing is free — only utilities of about PLN 350 a month are deducted. Modern flats or a private house, two per room; couples share a separate room. Fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, washing machines and fresh bed linen.

Transport

The warehouse is within the city; a company minibus takes you to work.

Additional

• the warehouse is run by a third-party logistics operator, so the name at the entrance differs from the retail chain — that is normal;
• when handling glass bottles, comfortable closed-toe shoes are best.
